BMMI Shops Digital Roadmap

This roadmap follows the development of BMMI Group's digital strategy. It is a working document that outlines insight and practical steps to be taken in order to meet the expected outcomes that have been detailed throughout.

As a working document, it should be continually amended and revised. New items will be added whilst others will be edited. What it isn't, is a wish list.

What this roadmap isn't

Wish lists are good and we actively encourage organisations to keep a running list of ideas they would like to implement, irrespective of how viable or otherwise those ideas are. Wish lists are a place to keep note of projects and steps that BMMI Shops would like to do. A roadmap is a list of projects that BMMI Shops will do.

Hopefully in time, items from a wish list will make their way onto the roadmap. However, before they do, their inclusion must first be justified.

The other important differentiation between this roadmap and a wish list is that the roadmap is prioritised. Phases and the steps within each are sequential and items at the top of the roadmap are to be done first. Each element in the document outlines a proposed step. It includes a description, dependencies and objectives of the project.

Reference often

Things change. It's a fact of life and it's certainly a fact of business. As much as we'd like to think this roadmap will follow the steps exactly as they have been sequenced, it's very unlikely that this will be the case. However, this document has been very carefully considered to support BMMI Shops in meeting the needs of it's connected consumers. Missing steps or stopping part way will result in falling behind the competition and leaving the business open to having market share eroded.

This document shouldn't be read once and then forgotten about. It is a living document that the digital transformation team will update frequently in partnership with your division.
