Knowledge and resource sharing

Between BMMI Shops, Alosra and soon, Delilah's, there are three divisions each involved in eCommerce and digital marketing. Frequently sharing information, experiences and knowledge between those involved will not only support group wide improvements but accelerate individual development.

Collaboration is key

The benefits of collaboration are well researched. Collaboration allows firms to leverage employees’ talents, to coordinate knowledge, and to quickly respond to global opportunities. Because customers increasingly demand more integrated solutions, those organisations that synchronise the activities and goals of business divisions can excel. Given that expertise in BMMI Group is distributed across divisions, collaboration is a critical source of competitive advantage.

In order to meet BMMI Group's vision for digital and the potential that eCommerce provides for revenue generation, we need to move away from designing and launching digital services, such as websites and apps and assuming that the job is complete. As outlined in the budgeting section of this document, launching a new digital service represents the very start of the journey. Through data analysis, user testing and knowledge sharing, we can learn far more about our customers post-launch than at any time beforehand. By ignoring this opportunity, we limit the organisation's growth.

By sharing our findings between business units, each customer-facing division in BMMI Group can exponentially improve whilst individuals develop knowledge easier, faster and more effectively.
